Skydance New Media’s Amy Hennig Marvel game is still untitled, but it has a new trailer courtesy of Disney and Marvel Games Showcase and it looks like a pretty evocative action game if one is to believe the trailer. sure. The game will feature four characters, two worlds will merge, and the focus will be on global war. Skydance has uploaded a trailer for Vera Lynn’s classic We’ll Meet Again, and if that’s not enough, we also see a busy Paris with smoke in the air.
Game Awards Creator Geoff Keighley posted an excerpt from the press release, detailing who the game’s heroes are. The Skydance Marvel game follows T’Challa’s grandfather Azuri; Gabriel Jones, a member of the Howling Commandos; and Nanali, who runs the Wakanda spy ring, a new organization that operates covertly behind enemy lines during the war; and finally, Steve Rogers, the Captain America of the 1940s.
You control all four characters at different points in the narrative adventure, and based on the keyframe, it looks like the adventure spans the globe, with Paris and at least one other location in the background.
It’s not clear yet if we can expect a big reunion with all four heroes at the same time, though in one section of the trailer, Black Panther and Captain America face a hail of bullets in a dark alley, so it seems likely. Whatever happens, Skydance said in a press release that the story Hennig and his team are creating is completely original and inspired by “iconic” comics, movies and TV moments.

“Our D23 Expo presentation is just the beginning of the exciting adventure that awaits Marvel fans,” said Bill Rosemann, Vice President and Chief Creative Officer, Marvel Games. “Amy and the team at Skydance New Media have a deep love and respect for our characters, have invested heavily in the core inspiration from the comics, and will use their incredible storytelling skills to create an entirely new and compelling narrative. Stay tuned over the coming months as we share additional information about our four heroes, two worlds, and one war.”
There’s no indication yet of when we’ll be able to see more of the game, though the Game Awards are coming up and Kaylie will be promoting the game, possibly with a new trailer debuting in December.
Kaylee also broadcast some hennig’s commentswhere the designer said it was “in the same vein” as her work on Uncharted, but “more engaging”.
