Blizzard has announced that the new Overwatch 2 heroes are locked behind the multiplayer battle pass. tweeter. Overwatch business manager Jon Spector posted a tweet to clarify what was previously revealed about the Overwatch 2 battle pass. Unlike the original Overwatch and many other multiplayer shooters, the new heroes in Overwatch 2 are initially only available on the free battle pass track. However, Spector did not mention how long the heroes would be in the pass, or how long they would remain there.
A Twitter user asked if this was the only way to get the characters and if players couldn’t get them if they didn’t reach the required level to unlock them. Spector said that Blizzard plans to give away other gifts to unlock new Overwatch 2 heroes, but gave no indication of what they might be.
This is a huge milestone for a shooter hero, given that all heroes in Overwatch 1 are simply selectable without having to do anything special. His competitors do the same. If you see a legend you want to play as Apex Legends, simply level it up a few times to earn in-game currency and use it to unlock it.
It’s also worth noting that Spector said “new” heroes, so while that means Junker Queen and the others won’t be available for free from the start, your old favorites will be.
If you’re new to the game, it might be a good idea to work with existing heroes in the original Overwatch before Overwatch 2’s October release date.
