LG is preparing a flexible OLED TV, and it could add an extra touch to your living room with a gaming PC. Dubbed “the world’s first 42-inch flexible OLED display,” the new panel features the same flexible technology as the Corsair Xeneon Flex. recently announced, as well as performance that could dwarf expensive gaming monitors.

According to a press release from LG, OLED Flex is a high-tech gaming TV that can turn into a 900R curved screen. The electronics giant says the 42-inch screen will help usher in “a whole new era of screen customization” as it will also allow gamers to choose from twenty levels of curvature.

Of course, OLED Flex isn’t just a curved rectangle, offering 4K 120fps capabilities, HDMI 2.1 support, and the contrast benefits of OLED. Like the best gaming monitor on the market, it supports G-Sync and AMD Freesync, making it feel more like a PC gaming portal than a typical living room TV.

It’s worth remembering that while LG claims this is the world’s first 42-inch foldable TV, the company’s technology will help the upcoming Corsair Xeneon Flex gaming monitor pull off similar tricks. This particular panel measures 45-inches and has a higher 240Hz refresh rate, which means it’s likely to cost more than its curved counterpart.

LG says its Flex OLED TV will be on display at IFA 2022, so if you’re heading to a major tech trade show in Berlin, you might be surprised at its flexibility. As with the Corsair Xeneon Flex, there’s no MSRP known yet, but it will most likely come with a premium price tag attached to its versatile frame.
