The number of Steam Deck games officially tested by Valve continues to grow, and it seems like there are more additions to the game and verified catalogs every day. The company’s portable power plant just passed a major milestone.
According to SteamDB, there are currently 2,134 Steam Deck Verified games and 2,871 Steam Deck Playable games, for a total of 5,005 palindromes. Recent additions like Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered and Apex Legends show how games new and old are helping to bolster the appeal of gaming laptops.
As fantastic as this milestone is, Valve still has a long way to go before it even covers the majority of games on its platform, with over 100,000 Windows games available on Steam alone. Time will tell if the company can ever achieve this lofty goal, but we remain hopeful.
Competing options like GPD Win 4 can be a great alternative for those who prefer a Windows Pocket PC as its compatibility level should be higher and it can load faster than Steam Deck.
