CD Projekt Red announced release date picture of the animated series on Netflix Cyberpunk: Edgerunners: September 13, 2022. It also released a new trailer, which is classified as NSFW for its particularly bloody and very tense content and recommended for a mature audience.
CD Projekt Red is the development studio to which we owe The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077 series. The series was created in partnership with Studio Trigger and consists of ten episodes, all of which will air simultaneously.
Alongside the trailer, the Polish studio also released a poster of Lucy, a key character in the series, a talented web runner and a leading member of Maine’s mercenary team. Despite her sought-after technical skills, the girl wants nothing more than to escape the Night City and its dangerous past.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners tells the story of street kid David Martinez, who is trying to survive in a future city obsessed with technology and body modification. After a personal tragedy, David decides to take control of his own destiny as Edgerunner, an illegal mercenary also known as cyberpunk.
Renowned Japanese animation company Studio Trigger has partnered with CD PROJEKT RED to bring the story directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi (Gurren Lagann, Kill la Kill, Promare) to life. Yoh Yoshinari (Little Witch Academia, BNA: Brand New Animal) is the lead character designer and executive director of animation. Masahiko Otsuka (Star Wars: Visions ‘The Elder’) and Yoshiki Usa (GRIDMAN UNIVERSE series) wrote the script based on the story provided by CD PROJEKT RED. Original music composed by Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill series).
