A new survival game is in the works from the developers of sci-fi city builder Surviving Mars. Stranded: Alien Dawn Early Access release date set for October this yearand the game challenges you to lead a small group of survivors stranded on a beautiful but hostile alien planet.
Stranded: Alien Dawn was developed by Haemimont Games, which you may remember from Surviving Mars. Stranded: Alien Dawn focuses on a small group of survivors that you will have to take care of in order to build a new home on their new home world.
You’ll start with the basics, collecting materials from broken escape pods and other debris, as well as collecting anything edible. The alien world has its own endemic fauna and potentially dangerous microbes, so you’ll also have to defend your base against physical attacks and strange new diseases.
Haemimont Games says you’ll be able to build a sprawling settlement or fortified complex using a modular base-building system and “thorough resource management.” As well as arming, feeding, and protecting your people, you’ll also need to make sure their psychological needs are met, which means you’ll eventually have to find entertainment on this alien world.
Stranded: Alien Dawn is now available to add to the Steam Wishlist and will be available for Early Access in October, though the developers have yet to set a date.
