Entropy: Zero 2 is strictly speaking a mod for Half-Life 2, but it would be an oversimplification to describe it in those terms. This is actually an entirely new Half-Life from start to finish, focusing on a squad of Alliance soldiers storming the futuristic prison of Nova Prospect and attempting to capture Gordon Freeman’s former ally, Dr. White. Entropy: Zero 2 is fully voiced and contains many new mechanics, including improved enemy AI, new weapons, new enemies, and the ability to command your team, as well as a full story based on the events of Half-Life 2. Portal and a possible story for Half-Life 3 as you attack an Ice Rebel base similar to the one shown with footage of the abandoned research vessel Borealis. It also serves as a sequel to the original Entropy: Zero, released in 2017, which follows the exploits of a rogue Alliance officer known simply as “The Bad Cop.”
Available for free on Steam, Entropy: Zero 2 is further proof that the Half-Life community is alive and well and demand for Half-Life 3 remains stronger than ever. Earlier this month, players of the original game set a new record for concurrent users on Steam, and a full prequel to 1998’s Half-Life was recently released, where you play as Gordon Freeman for a day in the life of Black Mesa Lab. . .
