World of Warcraft Dragonflight has a key feature that fans have no doubt been asking for for years: you can pet the dog. The very sweet girl in question is a bakar, one of the large, furry, four-legged creatures that roam the plains of On’ahran, and one Twitter user recently participated in a group event to pet a dog for a profit as a prize.
Calling the rewarding event “the best for gaming,” Twitter user Porterguage posted several images to honor the sweet girl, with one commenter saying, “Needed to see this. Helpful. Qualitative. Dog. Content.” After you finish petting the dog, you will get the “Pet the Dog” buff for 5 minutes; this just lets everyone know that you are a decent person and that you deserve everything in life.
The petting theme probably comes from the very popular Can you pet a dog? Twitter manager. Managed by Tristan Cooper, it does an angelic job of letting you know which games have their namesake feature and which don’t. The weird byproduct of this account is that it encourages more and more developers (probably including Blizzard) to incorporate animal petting into their games. I totally agree, to be honest.
This is the best group event to honor the game.

The world really needs more useful content; sometimes you need something to distract you from the huge bugs on the World of Warcraft auction house, that’s when you’re not delving into the WoW Dragonflight Alpha patch notes. If anyone needs me, I’ll take care of Lassie and pretend I can have pets in my house.
