A clever hobbyist has created the Halo Infinite Forge Mario Kart crossover, and it’s so awesome that it almost lived up to the hype for Halo Infinite Forge’s release date. A fan known on social media as bissuetox posted a minute-long video clip showing his creation in action. They started with a race track set in a field that looks like something straight out of a classic Nintendo kart, but with Halo designs instead of sentient mushrooms and a fire-breathing turtle.
The Warthog kart races down the track and then up the ramp, catching a Halo-fied power-up box along the way. Turns out there was a box full of bananas in the box, which the biissuetox promptly drops before showing off some of his caterpillars and a fun little barrel they can craft a Warthog out of.
He then returns to the field and over the bananas to do a Mario Kart-style stunt after hitting the skin. Is incredible.
We’ve seen clips showcasing the creative freedom 343 Industries will give us in the Halo Infinite Forge mode, and it further shows how expansive this mode seems to be. Will 343 ever do Halo Kart? Probably not! But you can. Or a post-apocalyptic Halo, or any other Halo you can imagine, whether it’s a serious attempt at sci-fi levels or a light concept like this that still pushes imagination and gaming tools to the limit.
