I want to know what is the best fantasy rook weapon and how to update them? Blades, bows, and other weapons are actually one of the most defining features of an anime game, but in the rather unique mechanics of Gacha, Tower of Fantasy characters don’t have their own unique traits, types, or abilities. They are more like glorified skins as all the stats are on their relative weapons.
In Tower of Fantasy, you play as a single playable character the entire time, instead of creating a party like in Genshin Impact. That character can use any desired weapon set obtained through banners and events, while unlocked characters are worn as skins, granting no benefit in combat. Every time you draw a new character, you get both the character and his weapon. Here’s what you need to know about Tower of Fantasy weapons.
Fantasy Tower Weapon Tiers
There are currently three different weapon tiers based on rarity: R, SR, and SSR. SSR weapons are the rarest and therefore the best to equip due to the increased base stats. These high-tier weapons and characters can be learned from Genshin-like banners and events and are comparable to five-star characters.
SR, the equivalent of four stars, can also be obtained through banners, but at the beginning of the game you will receive Echo and her SR-tier javelin. Since only Tier R weapons have been available so far, Echo’s Thundering Halberd will be the best weapon to add to your team right now, and you may want to consider pairing it with a Tier R bow for ranged attacks.
Fantasy Tower Weapon Types
With four different weapon types, you can mix them up in your loadout or stick with your favorite type. Of course, you can’t always determine which weapon you’ll pick, so the early game is a great opportunity to get familiar with each type and see how they work as you build your collection. Each of the four types has a set ability, as shown below, but some of them have additional unique abilities.
type of ice cream
Ice Shell: A fully charged attack freezes the target for 2 seconds, leaving them frozen for 6 seconds. Breaking the Ice Shell deals bonus damage equal to 151% attack damage. During Frostbite, the target’s weapon charge speed is reduced by 50%.
Flash
Volt: A fully charged weapon paralyzes targets for one second, shocks them for six seconds, and deals 144% attack power damage. This lightning attack also negates all buffs and prevents the target from gaining new buffs for the next six seconds.
Fire
Flame: When a weapon is fully charged, it ignites the target for eight seconds on its next attack, dealing constant damage equal to 58% ATK every second. Burning targets gain 50% healing.
Severe
Grievous: A fully charged weapon on its next attack will deal damage equal to 137% ATK and cause the target pain for 7 seconds, taking 20% more damage.
Fantasy Tower Weapon Skills
Each Tower of Fantasy weapon has four different abilities. They provide alternate attacks to the main attack, whether it’s a combo, dodge, or heavy charge attack. Four different weapon skills to master:
- Common: A combination of five basic attacks, each dealing more damage than the last.
- Evade: Dodging an incoming attack at the right moment activates Fantasy, temporarily slowing all nearby enemies. You are also briefly immune to dodge.
- Ability: Each weapon’s ability is unique, but basically it’s a powerful attack that increases damage or healing power by a high percentage.
- Dismiss: Like the Ability ability, Shock is also unique to each weapon, but always activates when the weapon is fully charged or Fantasy has been activated. Discharge removes all debuffs from players and greatly increases attack damage or healing, among other unique bonuses.
How to upgrade weapons in Tower of Fantasy
Gets better
Upgrading your weapons is the first part of upgrading your gear, and luckily it’s pretty easy. With gold, you can simply select “Upgrade” your weapon from that weapon’s menu page. However, there is a level cap with upgrades, after which you need to upgrade your weapon to continue upgrading.
Increase
Once you reach the maximum upgrade level of your weapon, you will need to spend Elemental Cores to upgrade it and make it even better. These cores are specific to your weapon type, so you will need the correct core for your weapon.
- Magcore (purple): ray gun
- Fire core (red): Firearms
- Rockkor (orange): serious weapon
- Ice core (blue): ice weapons
These cores can be collected from the surrounding environment and are seen as large clusters of crystals sticking out of the ground. Break these crystals to collect cores.
Ascension Achievement
The final stage of Tower of Fantasy’s complicated weapon upgrade system means you can also upgrade your weapons by getting upgrades. There are six levels of weapon upgrades that improve your weapon’s base attack or HP, or provide additional power unique to that weapon.
The hardware needed to mount your weapon is the most difficult to obtain. Ascension material, called Fusion Cores, are obtained by breaking down duplicate weapons of the same type. For example, you can only scale Raven’s Scythe if you get a second one and turn it into Fusion Cores. The good thing about this is that you can use all the duplicates you can draw, but it will take a lot of luck to draw the duplicate of an SSR weapon.
Now you have all the information you need about Tower of Fantasy weapons, all vehicles in the game, and how to unlock and navigate the Tower of Fantasy map. And since these weapons go hand-in-hand with their relative characters, take a look at our Tower of Fantasy tier list to see how they compare.
