Players take on the role of Jack Garland, as many memes will tell you, destroying the chaos of one man’s hellish desire. Along with a few comrades, the group will travel to explore their role as light warriors.

With so many combat options and tactics available, Stranger of Paradise actually has quite a few options when it comes to attack. It all depends on your study class and your skills. Here’s what you need to know.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin features a universal parity system independent of working class and weapons, as well as job-specific outcasts. The universal dance is what most players are used to as it works the same in most games. To change it, press L1 or the left bumper to knock it down before it hits the attack and continue your own attack.

Hanging the job specifically is often more difficult as it depends on the type of weapon and gear equipped. For example, for the Swordfighter job, players will use his intercept skills. This ability automatically negates damage and then counters the player’s attack.

Using a katana-like weapon in Ronin work means you’ll enjoy certain stances like the Senshin stance. In this position, well-timed normal attacks will follow the pair and allow players to continue the attack wave. Determining the time can be tricky and may take some practice.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin’s combat leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to experimentation, so figuring out what works best is part of the fun. But to make it easier for you, you can’t go wrong with standard Paris.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | Available on PC S and Windows.
