Another Nvidia RTX 4000 GPU has been leaked and we can apparently expect the RTX 4070 to be swapped out with the RTX 3090 Ti. The upcoming GeForce graphics card also appears to feature higher clock speeds than the RTX 4090, along with VRAM specs that point to GDDR6X memory.
Latest Nvidia RTX 4070 GPU leak from save 7kimi it comes with some predictable spec tweaks that prove the fact that the green team isn’t obsessed with SKUs. The GeForce card runs faster than originally expected, as it is expected to run at a base frequency of 2310 MHz and a Boost frequency of 2610 MHz. As the latter is not always a maximum limit, the source of the information indicates that the “maximum” GPU speed is around 2800 MHz.
Nvidia also appears to have had a change of heart on the RTX 4070 memory, as Kopite7kimi says the card will feature 21Gbps GDDR6X video memory. This means that most of the RTX 4000 lineup could ship with Micron’s high-performance memory, as we’re still waiting to see if the RTX 4060 will receive upgraded VRAM before launch.

Do you have that ordinary grain of salt? Good, because the changing nature of RTX 4000 rumors adds uncertainty to predictions and insider information. We heard last week that the cards could have an upgraded RTX 4070 Ti, but now the non-Ti card appears to offer similar capabilities.
Information regarding the release date of the RTX 4000 is currently a bit unreliable, with rumors that only the RTX 4090 will arrive this year. In other words, we’ll potentially have to wait longer for other contending graphics cards, like the RTX 4080.
There’s still a chance they’ll outperform AMD’s RDNA 3 GPUs, as CEO Lisa Su said they’ll release their next-gen Radeon cards “later this year.” However, it looks like Nvidia has a few things to iron out before introducing the RTX 4000, so use a pencil instead of a pen when it comes to your daily gaming PC.
