16 minutes of new Gotham Knights gameplay showcases one of our best looks at superhero gaming in action, plus the fate of Batman’s arch-villain, whom fans will remember from Batman’s most famous moment: Arkham Knight.
Even though Gotham Knights’ release date is set for October, May’s Nightwing and Red Hood’s gameplay reveal is still our best take on the game. Now, IGN has released a slew of new footage from the making of the adventure game with an updated take on Batgirl’s gameplay.
Although there is a lot of new information, the most important is the confirmation: Gotham Knights start spoiler It’s about the death of Kirk Langstrom, aka Man-Bat, the creator of Batman: Arkham Knight’s most infamous jump scare. In the footage, Batgirl travels to Gotham University to meet with Langstrom to investigate Batman’s death, only to discover that he, too, was killed. So in this universe, Batman and Man-Bat are dead.
In the new game mode, Batgirl’s detective skills are clearly visible, along with some stealth attacks, confirming that Gotham Knights isn’t just an RPG, though there’s a lot of that in the video, e.g. Batgirl fight with a large class of fighters. . enemy.
Langstrom is unlikely to be the “big” Gotham Knights villain teased at SDCC in July, especially if the villain is dead, so expect that sooner rather than later. We call Ra’s Al Ghul, especially if Batman’s son Damian Wayne actually stars in Gotham Knights.
