An artist named Sail Lin blamed Activision Blizzard plagiarism to copy Skin with features of a Samoyed dog is coming Call of Duty: Warzone During Season 4 of Battle Royale.
The artist intervened on Twitter, citing the incredible resemblance to the new “Loyal Samoyed” skin with an artwork he posted on the artstation portal nearly two years ago, claiming he had contacted Activision Blizzard for an explanation and compensation.
“Hi everyone, I’m a sailor, the original artist who came to Call of Duty: Warzone with a stolen Samoyed skin.” Sail reads Lin’s message. “I only found out during the skin announcement that my work was stolen. Even though I’m a Call of Duty player myself, I was really disappointed to see my work copied like this by a big company like Activision Blizzard.”
“I have contacted Aktivion for clarification and/or compensation and I hope the situation will be resolved as soon as possible. As an individual artist, I can’t do much and I need to speak publicly about this to make sure things are right. It doesn’t happen in the future.”
At the time of writing, the tweet has more than 5,000 retweets and 18,000 “likes”, a sign that Sail Lin’s charm goes unnoticed. Meanwhile, Raven Software has yet to make an official statement about the allegations, but removed any image from the official website (here the original version and here the updated version) and a private post on Twitter.
