After Diablo Immortal’s microtransaction hoopla, one would expect Activision Blizzard to settle for the price of its next game, but that could be the case. overwatch 2 skins individually it can cost up to $45, according to a new survey.
Among Overwatch 2’s many changes to the multiplayer suite, Blizzard previously confirmed that it will ditch loot boxes in favor of battle passes and direct purchases, just as it does with other online games like Fortnite. However, Blizzard has yet to explain how Overwatch 2’s microtransactions and store prices will work.
According to a new survey sent (as seen @Portergauge on Twitter), Blizzard seems to put a price on weapon skins, outfits, and charms. While these are not final prices, the survey asks if players are willing to pay $44.99 for a single Mythic skin, $24.99 for a Legendary skin, $29.99 for a Legendary pack, or $9.99 for a weapon amulet.
It’s entirely possible that these are intentionally inflated prices that Blizzard is only testing with this particular survey. However, Reddit did not like it very much. We won’t know until Overwatch 2 launches in October.
