Halo Infinite Forge Mod: What We Know So Far

Halo Infinite has been around for nearly a year, and initial excitement for the game has waned significantly in recent months. 343 Industries was looking for ways to update the game and bring Halo’s latest installment back to life.

According to a recent leak, the 343 may bring back the iconic Forge mode from previous Halo games. The mod didn’t launch with the initial release of Halo Infinite, but the number of leaks that have recently surfaced online suggest the mod could be back, and it looks amazing. Here’s what we’ve learned from the leak so far.

First of all, Forge Mode is a customizable level/game mode designer that has appeared in many Halo games in the past. Sandbox mode allows players to create their own Halo experiences and let their creativity go beyond the campaign.

If you want to recreate an old Halo map like The Pit, you can recreate it in Forge Mode. The possibilities are endless (appropriate word) and the mod could be what brings the entire Halo series to life on next-gen consoles, not just Halo Infinite.

Features that have been leaked so far include the ability to add weather effects, scale items, link items, combine weapons in new options, and much more.

Leaks have already shown that the Halo community is building big levels in Forge Mode, and more could be coming if 343 does indeed bring the mode back. Upside-down guns, walls, portals and more have already been created, providing endless sandbox possibilities.
