It’s becoming more and more likely that there will be a return port to PC, and it looks like the game will be playable on Steam console in addition to Windows systems when it finally arrives. So if you were hoping to relive the glory days of the PlayStation Portable, you might be in luck.
Recent changes to the SteamDB page for the supposed PC port of Returnal, currently listed as “Oregon”, refer to Steam Deck as a change in values to “steamdecktouchscreen” (via ResetEra). Previously, references to in-game locations and activities were under the location tab.
It is currently unclear what compatibility rating the Returnal PC port will receive. However, since other recent PlayStation Steam releases like God of War and Days Gone have received the coveted “Verified” badge, chances are you’ll be following in their footsteps.
With Spider-Man Remastered fast approaching, it’s hard to say when Sony will officially announce the release date for Returnal on PC. At the very least, it’s likely to appear after the release of Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves, hopefully in the near future.
While you’d expect the Returnal PC Dock to work well on a gaming laptop, pairing it with the Jsaux Steam Deck Dock will allow you to connect your system to a larger screen for a more expansive experience.
