The DLC for Minecraft Spongebob Squarepants is out now, and it will bring plenty of skins, classic Bikini Bottom locations, and a good reason to see what the Spongebob model looks like. A lot of fun DLC has been released for Minecraft recently, but it’s hard not to get nostalgic about this one.
The trailer shows it off beautifully, with a full-length bikini bottom and a classic backdrop of strange flowers floating in the sky/sea. There seems to be a lot to do in the area; from exploring caves to burger car racing and just relaxing on roller coasters. The pack also includes forty different skins and can be purchased from the Minecraft Marketplace for 1340 coins.
Spark Universe are the creators of this DLC and they have already made a few things like the free YouTube Creators skin pack as well as the Monsters++ pack which adds a bunch of classic monsters like dragons etc. It’s been a pretty good time for official DLC packs lately, especially with the excellent Spellcraft DLC released for free recently.
While there are still plenty of gamers out there who prefer to stay away from the official stuff and stick with mods, it’s great to see that Minecraft is still supported from just about every angle imaginable. With that being said, the modding scene has been amazing lately. Things like the Immersive Portals mod lets you create impossible level designs, and the My Alliance mod lets you command your own army.
In other Minecraft news, here’s everything you need to know about making your own cake. Sounds amazing, right?
