MultiVersus is currently down, which means you can’t get into Warner Bros’ fun fighting game yet. Yes, the MultiVersus servers are currently undergoing maintenance. The development team first announced the downtime on Twitter around 12:30 a.m. EST, and an hour later, MultiVersus game director Tony Huyn posted a tweet saying the team was making progress. He has been quiet ever since, and as of 3:00 pm EST, the servers remain offline for some players. john posted second update stating that they have been able to start hosting matches again, but access may take a while to fully roll out.
Since MultiVersus relies on its servers for matchmaking and online play, there is nothing you can do to fix the problem other than wait. This is not a bug and there is no solution.
Once the servers are up and running again, you should probably temper your expectations for unlimited access. Most online games take a while to fix their architecture, especially when they open the doors to many more players than in closed tests. The Multiversus servers are likely to go down again in the next week or so, so it’s worth keeping that in mind when planning your playtime.
