There is a Nier: Automata video on the subreddit and other social media, and even though creator Yoko Taro announced that the sad anime robot game’s final secret was discovered over a year ago, it baffled fans. The video shows the player entering the secret room, and so far no one has been able to replicate this feat.
A video posted to the Nier subreddit by user sadfutago begins with a fight in Copy City. The player, as A2, jumps to any white wall on the edge of the arena and a hint allows him to open a secret door. Inside, there is a staircase that leads to a long square shaft where the domes of the buildings’ roofs protrude into the lower chamber.
They retract into the walls and disappear as A2 lands, then A2 opens a pair of large double doors that lead into a winding hallway reminiscent of “Home” or “Control”.

Subreddit users were immediately skeptical of the images, suggesting that it must be some sort of PC mod. However, Lance McDonald, the game hacking expert who uncovered Nier: Automata’s “final” secret, says it’s far beyond the possibilities Current modding for Automata. But so far no one can figure out how to make the door shown in the video appear in their game.
In other words, there are two possibilities: either someone found another “final” secret hidden in Nier: Automata 18 months after its mischievous and nefarious creator said the final secret had been found, or in Nier: Automata’s modding there has been a breakthrough. – and one of them is a significant development.
By the way, the clip above is incomplete: the winding hallway at the end apparently leads to some kind of church. It seems that there is more to discover.
