Realizing that the Los Angeles Lakers player doesn’t actually do the in-game voice acting, fans are wondering who voiced LeBron James in MultiVersus.
John Bentley, the voice of popular characters like Barrett Wallace from the Final Fantasy VII Remake, will voice LeBron James in MultiVersus. It has been announced that NBA superstar LeBron James will join the cast of Warner Brother’s new fighting game at the San Diego Comic-Con panel on July 22.
The event included a quick one-minute trailer that showed off some of the gameplay that revealed LeBron and showed his character movement in full. LeBron performed with Looney Tunes again in Space Jam 2, so Warner Bros. A transition of his characters is not as far off as it seems.
Attention-seeking fans have noticed that LeBron’s character in the trailer doesn’t look like a real NBA superstar. This led to the eventual announcement that LeBron would not be speaking and instead industry veteran John Bentley would be the voice of the popular NBA player. Bentley has voiced characters in Final Fantasy, Call of Duty, and Batman: The Telltale Series.
When he joins MultiVersus, it will be LeBron’s first appearance in a video game outside of a basketball series like NBA 2K or NBA Live.
