According to IGN, the MultiVersus panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2022 also confirmed that Morty Smith will join the cast on August 9, while Rick Sanchez will be available at a later date.

Interestingly, Morty (Bruiser-type) and Rick (Mage/Ranged-type) will be separate characters, unlike the Ice Climbers-type partnership between Tom and Jerry.

The MultiVersus Open Beta begins on PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam) July 26 at 12:00 PM ET with full cross-play and cross-progression support on all the platforms.

The Early Access portion of the Open Beta opened up the game to those who initially participated in the Closed Alpha, as well as those who gained entry through Twitch Drops.
