The Intel Arc A380 is the first discrete graphics card in the Intel Arc Alchemist lineup to hit the market after several gaming laptop APUs and months of delay. However, the company has decided to further delay the launch of its Pixel economy booster, limiting its release to just one country for now.
If you’re ready to upgrade your gaming PC to the Intel Arc A380 graphics card, you’ll need to order it from China, as that’s the only region it has in stock. To make matters worse, Gunnir seems to be the only manufacturer that produces a GPU model.
Looking at Chinese retailer JD (via Videocardz), the Intel Arc A380 is currently on sale for 12,999 yuan (about $192.60 / £159.95). That’s a bit more expensive than the prices listed in Arc’s recently leaked pricing document, but we can see them getting cheaper as they hit other regions.
If you’re looking for performance, you’re better off waiting for RTX 4000-series or RDNA 3 GPUs later this year rather than opting for the Intel Arc A380. However, the flagship A770 is the blue team’s best chance to win the title of the company’s best graphics card competitors, but whether it can hold out remains to be seen.
