If you’ve wiped out all the fierce combat and loot in tabletop RPG Gloomhaven and are looking for new adventures, there’s good news in the tavern: a new expansion is coming soon, featuring some of the game’s toughest challenges to date. Solo Scenarios: Mercenary Challenges hits digital stores on September 22 and adds 17 new advanced level missions, each designed to be completed by a specific mercenary.
Each of the single player scenarios have been built around the abilities of a particular Grimhaven mercenary, and they will all be challenging puzzles to solve. They are also for high level characters, so your mercenaries will need to reach the fifth level of the campaign before new missions become available.
Developer Flaming Fowl Studios, who created the DLC in collaboration with Gloomhaven creator Isaac Childres, says the more demanding scenarios are worth it: each one unlocks a special Mercenary-specific item, and you can bring that loot into the campaign to multiplayer/multiplayer use. . scenarios.
“Rewards will also be available in Guildmaster mode, and players will need to complete each mercenary’s second story mission to access them,” says Flaming Fowl.
Gloomhaven’s first expansion, Jaws of the Lion, was released earlier this year and is best suited for players just beginning their Shadowhaven journey. The Solo Scenarios expansion is designed for seasoned veterans. It will be available on Steam and GOG for $4.99 / £4.19 when it launches on September 22.
