After waiting another week, MLB The Show 22 roster updates are finally back. This list is usually updated every Friday.
Usually players are looking for players who will go from gold to diamond but today we are here to talk about players who have struggled and been relegated recently.
#1 Willie Adames #27 – SS/Milwaukee Brewers
After a great season last year, Adams is struggling this year. It only reaches 0.215 per season. Despite his low average, he still holds the power with 18 home runs. Since the last roster update, Adames has hit .242 with three home runs, 12 RBIs and 18 hits. Adames is currently 80 overall and could move to silver after this update.
#2 Joey Gallo #13 – RF / New York Yankees
Joey Gallo has had a tough year. A powerful kicker doesn’t just hit the ball. Annually, Gallo averages 0.166 with only 10 homers. Since the last roster update, Gallo’s poor performance has only continued. He hit .114 with a home run and 15 RBI. Gallo was diamond at one point last year, but with this roster update Gallo could drop to a bronze rarity.
#3 Taylor Rogers #17 – CP/San Diego Padres
Rodgers is our first player who we believe will fall below diamond rarity. Since the last roster update, Rodgers has been very inconsistent. He made two saves and two defender saves in five games. He allowed seven runs in 13 innings to 5.2 innings. His ERA during this period is 11.12. After tomorrow’s update, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Rogers takes gold.
#4 James Karinchak #99 – RP/Cleveland Guards
Karinchak made his debut only ten days into the season and played only four games. But this view was not so good. All in all, we have no doubt that he is just coming back, but he could still go from gold to silver on this list. He has a 5.40 ERA in his four games, eight hits and four walks. Its performance should improve as the year progresses, but for now it should fall to the silver bar.
#5Tommy Edman #19 – SS/2B / St. Louis Cardinals
Our final guess and second relegated diamond player is Tommy Edman. Edman is a great player, don’t get me wrong, but he hasn’t done that since the last roster update. He has a .188 AVG with no home runs and just four RBIs. Not on top either with just one step and an OBP of 0.197. Edman will most likely drop the diamond the day after tomorrow, but don’t be surprised to see him again later in the year.
