Genshin Impact Dendro: synergies of all kinds of plants

Do you want to know more about Dendro in Genshin Impact? The Genshin Impact 3.0 update appears to include the most content an anime game has ever seen in a single patch. Fans first saw Sumeru at the end of Live Stream 2.8, the last region to appear in Genshin Impact later this year. Sumeru is the home of the Dendro element, the seventh and last element of Teyvat.

Though Genshin Dendro Impact Mentioned many times in history, its existence has been largely suppressed. As we get closer to the next update, the Genshin Impact Twitter account revealed Colley and Tignari, Dendro’s first two playable characters. We might even get a glimpse of the Archon of Dendro, Kusanali, once players gain full access to the Sumeru region. Here is everything you need to know about the Dendro item in Genshin Impact.

What is Genshin Impact Dendro?

Derived from the Greek dendron meaning tree, dendro represents nature. Players can already experience Dendro in Genshin Impact by interacting with grass with Pyro characters. Using Genshin Impact item reactions, Grass is a Dendro item that can be set on fire with incendiary attacks. This triggers a burn reaction in the area, dealing 2.5x fire damage to all enemies in the burning area.

A large number of Dendro Slugs and Dendro Samachurls are scattered around the map. These enemies can deal poison damage over time, summon vines to protect an area, and create a Dendro healing field on the ground. While that doesn’t tell us exactly what the Dendro Archons are capable of, they can use the components of these attacks to shape their abilities.

dendroelement reactions

In a recent Sumeru preview video, the developers revealed two never-before-seen Dendro elemental reactions coming to the game: Bloom and Catalyze. Inspired by nature itself, the combination of Hydro with Dendro gives a floral effect. Enemies hit by Bloom explode after a short time, dealing heavy damage. You can speed up this reaction by damaging affected enemies with Pyro to create a larger explosion. Similarly, attacking enemies with Bloom’s Electro creates a Dendro-filled homing missile at the closest enemy.

The Catalyst acts as a damage bonus based on the last item that hit the enemy, be it Dendro or Electro. For example, if you attack an enemy with Dendro and activate the Intensified state on the target, your electro attacks gain a damage multiplier for the next seven seconds.

Dendro Resonance Bonus

Latest Ubatchi data mining information revealed the Resonance bonus Dendro characters get when paired. Dendro’s two-character bonus seems incredibly useful, as he rewards all party members with Elemental Mastery after activating Burn, Haste, or Overgrowth. With the right mix of characters, this resonant bonus can spice up the Genshin Impact tier list.

That is everything you need to know about the Dendro item in Genshin Impact. We expect to see a number of new Genshin Impact characters in future updates, compatible with Dendro’s set of characters as more Sumeru are unlocked. In the meantime, check out our Genshin Impact Heizou banner guide for more information on using Anemo Catalyst.
