Gaming PC creator Tiktok has discovered a new way to reduce CPU temperatures, and that involves mixing thermal paste with diamonds. While this expensive idea sounds absurd, it can actually improve performance and help increase frame rates in resource-intensive games.
In a recently uploaded video, creator Mriester (aka Adam Yee) mixes a pack of 25-carat diamonds with thermal paste to see if they can improve CPU performance. Tiktok, creator of chaotic gaming PCs, explains that gemstones transfer heat five times better than copper and silver, giving the experiment a hypothesis.

In particular, adding diamond powder to thermal paste actually lowers the CPU temperature, stabilizing at 46°C under load. Similar temperatures when the chip is on are impressive.
Next-gen processors are upon us, and Intel Raptor Lake chips could set the standard for higher clock speeds than ever before. Of course, you’ll need to use the best CPU cooler to achieve that performance, but we may see manufacturers release diamond-coated thermal paste to fix cooling issues in the future.
