Double Fine Productions and Skybound Games announced Psychonauts 2 Motherlobe Edition For Xbox Series X | Physical version of the new adventure from S / Xbox One and PS4 or Raz, release date September 27, 2022. Will follow later in the future also a Collector’s Edition Made by iam8bit. The announcement was accompanied by a trailer showing the content included in this edition.
Expected to have a leak just a few hours ago, Psychonauts 2 Motherlobe Edition features a lenticular outer case with a reversible cover and includes six high-quality shaped postcards, with six double-sided art postcards showing the game’s latest graphics and concept art. A digital download code that provides access to stickers and unreleased behind-the-scenes material.
It will come at the end of 2022 Psychonauts 2 Collector’s Edition. This collector’s edition by iam8bit includes:
- Psychonauts 2: Motherlobe Edition with reversible and lenticular cover, art papers and set of shaped stickers.
- The original version of Psychonauts is physically available for the first time, backwards compatible on Xbox One.
- Digital download code for three volumes of the original Psychonauts 2 soundtrack Set of five “Festival dei Sensi” pins
- Black background banner “18×24” with the protagonist Raz

In addition to the physical editions, music lovers and gamers will be able to pre-order the “Psychonauts 2 Essential Edition” (2xLP) and Box Set Complete Edition (6xLP) vinyl records. These psychedelic discs contain music from Peter McConnell’s play and footage from Arno Kiss’ album. The Collector’s Edition will be housed in a precious box set with a hypnotic matte and will include three volumes of the soundtrack and the track “Cosmic I” with Jack Black. Finally, fans will be able to complete the Psychonauts 2 dream collection with a 250+ page art book available for pre-order on iam8bit.com.
