While many longtime fans of the series have made the decision to stop playing Diablo Immortal, some of them don’t let that get in the way of their love of loot and instead look forward to the release date. from Diablo 3 Season 27. The latest seasonal ARPG game update has got some players excited with the release of the PTR preview and patch notes for update 2.7.4, which includes a new item called Angelic Crucibles. that can apply your class’s unique hallowed powers to your build.

The biggest highlight of Diablo 3 Season 27 Update hits the PTR on July 12.Angelic Crucibles are artifacts that can be used to “hallow” any level 70 Legendary item you equip. Sanctified items have two special benefits: First, they are reforged to have the ideal old-level stats for all item attachments while retaining their legendary power. The real thrill, though, is adding one of three new unique, class-specific abilities to a holy item.

Each class has a choice of three consecrated powers. For example, Barbarian’s first variant causes the whirlwind to pull in and hold nearby enemies. The second allows the powerful Hammer of the Ancients ability to hit in all directions and applies a shockwave effect every seven spells. The third generates stacks of Tempest Rhythm on hitting enemies, which can then be used with Wrath of the Berserker to debuff all nearby enemies, causing them to take increased damage based on the number of stacks.

Other changes in the new season include the ability to access the default adventure mode on all accounts without having to play the campaign first, which is perfect for any new player who just wants to jump in and start playing. Also worth noting is a major nerf to the experience rewarded by Echoing Nightmares, a seasonal feature that has been made permanent due to its popularity, but with some adjustments to make it a bit less mandatory for players.

The update certainly got some fans excited. Following the decision by the Maxroll community site to stop covering Diablo Immortal in protest of its microtransaction practices, some of their team is already speaking enthusiastically about the potential of this new season. “In my opinion, this could be the best season of Diablo III as the developers continue to dominate,” Maxroll creator Raxxanterax says in the video, calling season 27 “the best patch ever.” After extensive analysis of the update, Raxxanterax says that “after the Diablo Immortal fiasco, it’s a breath of fresh air.”

Maxroll creator Woodijo, who also recently left Immortal, says he’s “really excited to see how it works out.” In his own patch note video, Woodijo talks about Holy Powers, which he says sound really powerful, and also says that he thinks some of the new outfits are really cool. He notes that the Demon Hunter’s hallowed powers have “perhaps the most exciting effects,” in particular the ability to use Strafe to reroll the Unchanneled Hate Expenditure ultimate ability. He also points out that Monk’s Wave of Light was already a high level build and as such is considering the consecrated power associated with it.

Given that Diablo Immortal brought the series back into the mainstream of the gaming mindset but left some users disappointed with the new Battle Pass, it will be interesting to see if players get to experience the final season of Diablo III again. Alternatively, perhaps other RPGs like Path of Exile will target the audience segment looking for something more suitable to play on PC. After all, the Diablo 4 release date is still a long way off.
