Fans had a hard time waiting for the Red Dead Online update – so much so that some even held the game’s funeral to mourn its passing – and a new Rockstar blog post suggests they may have a reason. While updates to Red Dead Online will continue, they will be infrequent and spaced out with less content. All for the same reason, Rockster reportedly shut down the Red Dead Redemption remaster, diverting resources to GTA 6.
Things seem to be looking a lot better in GTA Online, but you internet ranchers aren’t far behind. Red Dead Online will continue to receive monthly events and some other changes, including “vaguely described changes to improve and maintain a healthy Red Dead Online environment.” Rockstar will add new Telegram missions later in 2022.
However, these replace the usual big themed updates, so it looks like there won’t be any Halloween or winter themed festivals this year or in the future. It’s a shame, considering Rockstar has generally gone all out for this, and there’s nothing better than celebrating a spooky season.
Also, Rockstar said it will cover the Red Dead Online community as often as possible, and that’s it.
Fans have already braced themselves for the day, if the mock funeral wasn’t proof enough. The general reaction to ResetEra was one of disappointed resignation, with most fans lamenting the loss of what they considered to be the best design in the open world. Others were just hoping for additional resources to see Grand Theft Auto 6 sooner rather than later, though Rockstar hasn’t given a hint as to when they plan to release information on the long-awaited sequel, let alone when it might be. . throw.
