When is the Genshin Impact 3.0 release date? Much like the massive 2.0 update that launched the Inazuma region, complete with Electro Vision and a host of new characters, it looks like 3.0 could be just as big.
If the latest rumors are true, Genshin Impact 3.0 Update could feature the Dendro element, Archon quests, hangouts, new characters, and of course the Sumeru region. There should be a new story arc and hopefully an epic boss encounter like Raiden Shogun, who then became a playable character.
So here’s everything we’ve seen so far. It should be noted that these are based on rumors and we currently do not have an exact release date for 3.0.
Genshin Impact 3.0 Release Date Speculations
There are There is currently no release date for Genshin Impact 3.0.but the 2.8 update will be released on July 13. Genshin Impact takes place on a six week schedule, so we could see 3.0 in late August.
Genshin Impact 3.0 Sumeru
Hoyoverse gave us the first official look at the new Sumeru region in the Update 2.8 live stream. We were shown a small village and a view of a green landscape with Sumeru, described by Liben as “solid jungle and desert”. It’s unknown if Sumeru will appear in Update 3.0, but based on past trends, these big updates usually introduce a new region and Archon.
Genshin Impact 3.0 Characters
Genshin Impact’s leaked Reddit page lit up with leaks of potential new characters coming to the Sumeru region. So far, seven new characters have been leaked and are expected to arrive in Update 3.0 or Sumeru at some point. Since Genshin Impact usually releases new characters gradually, we were able to see these new additions appearing in various updates.

Genshin Impact 3.0 Dendro
Dendro is a future item in Genshin Impact and it looks like he will provide ground abilities. He has an elemental reaction with a Pyro to create a burn, and the fire spreads over Dendro’s objects, such as grass. The Seven Sumeru statue looks like a little boy sitting on a leaf and could be a Dendro Archon, although this has yet to be confirmed.
