Minecraft doesn’t have any official downloadable content for Stranger Things, at least not yet, but it was only a matter of time before people started making stuff from Netflix shows anyway. That’s not to say that horror is the exact opposite of what Minecraft is; just stumble upon a powerful Guardian and you’ll realize that’s true, but it still takes a bit of effort to make things really spooky in such a cute game.
However, that didn’t stop Redditors Fiki and Biki from deciding they wanted to build Stranger Things’ Creel House from voxels. They took to Reddit to post pictures of the build, and the photo editing in the first one really adds to the sense of unease. If you’re interested in seeing how it was built, you’ll be glad to know you can do so on YouTube.
While much of the border is infused with editing, little things like removing the leaves from the inverted version of the building go a long way. Several players have also said that it would be a great idea to build a nether portal in the overworld, teleport through it, and then perfectly recreate the house around it as well. This will play the program correctly and is really just a solid idea for a map on its own.
It takes a lot of time and effort to recreate things perfectly, but imagine seeing scenes from the show in both the underworld and the overworld, they all look the same except for the various enemies running around. It would be a surprisingly disturbing experience.
