Genshin Impact recently shared their livestream for the version 2.8 update, announcing all the new content that will be released after the July 13 game update. The version called “Summer Fantasia” contains a lot of new content for the summer season. Here are the most exciting things about Genshin Impact version 2.8.
Version 2.8 sees the return of the Golden Apple archipelago; A completely separate map full of oceans and islands that players previously only had access to in version 1.6. According to the Playstation version 2.8 blog post, the island will be completely redesigned from how it looked before and filled with new puzzles, treasures, and stories to uncover. Here players will also be able to get the new 4 star Fischl skin.
Players will be able to explore new islands alongside familiar faces like Diluk, Kazuha, Xinian, Fishley, and Mona. Additionally, Kazuha will have her own story quest, as well as a Hangout event for new character Shikanoin Heizou. Heizou is a 4-star Anemo Catalyst user who will be featured on Kazuha’s banner and will be re-released in this build. Before Kazuha, Klee’s flag will also be revived in the first half of the update.
Like all updates, version 2.8 comes with various events that players can participate in. In the Evermotion Mechanical Painting event, players will solve special puzzles to get new furniture for their Serenitea Pots. This will be followed by a few more events with new stories to discover, games to play, and Primogems to earn.
