Among Us matchmaking solution is ‘under development’ according to developers

According to developer Innersloth, a matchmaking solution for Among Us is “in development.” This is in response to complaints that a social deduction game has too many RPG servers and is indistinguishable from normal game servers.

In a Reddit post titled “out of the box,” user TheRealDarkloud voiced some complaints and admitted that it was new to us. “Why are 3/4 of the servers dedicated to RPGs only,” explains one, “so that people who want to play the game are immediately loaded from the lobby?”

Developer Innersloth responded to some of these criticisms. On the server side, the team says it understands players’ frustration on this issue. “This is one of those cases where we want to fix public matchmaking,” he says. “It’s a bigger job than just ‘getting people into the lobby randomly,’ but it’s happening!”

Innerslot also confirms that the annoying O2 glitch that seems to have been around since the April Fool’s update is also “on our bug list” to fix. “The team is certainly working very hard on patches and ongoing content releases,” he adds. “We want people to enjoy our game. We don’t want people to be upset.” The team is also working on creating a public support page to improve bug reporting.

In other Among Us news, Innersloth shares some details about the cancellation of Among Us 2 and its smooth running with Fortnite.
