Activision introduced a new solution implemented in Turkey. Activision developers announced this new feature in their latest Ricochet progress and achievements report.
In the post, “Today we share another mitigation technique: Disarm. As the name suggests, when cheaters are detected, we simply take their weapons (including punches)”.
“We don’t expect to see many clips of this online, but we’ve seen it in action and the reaction of scammers is always invaluable.”
“Disarmament” is just one of Ricochet’s solutions to combat Call of Duty: Warzone and the company’s cunning. For example, there is also “Concealment” that makes players invisible to cheaters, while “Damage Shield” makes honest users nearly invincible when targeted by a cheater.
