This Wednesday (22) Liga Brasileira de Sinuquinha, a championship organized by BMS with the main aim of identifying new talent in Brazilian snooker, announced Betway, the global sports betting company, as its new general sponsor. Under the agreement, the new sponsor will also receive naming rights to the contest, which will be renamed LBS Betway. In addition to the betting company, the tournament is also sponsored by Mundo da Sinuca and Clan Produtora.
According to Samuel Gonçalves, Commercial Director of BMS, having the support of big brands and mainly a main sponsor who believes in the project shows Sinuca’s potential in the Brazilian scenario:
“It is a great joy to announce that in our naming rights in the first edition we will have the name of the sponsor who staked on our project and understood our main goal: to bring the Pool to all corners of the country. This is the first time we are hosting a championship that aims to bring out new talents and high-level athletes who, unfortunately, have not yet had the opportunity. It will be a spectacle with young players and the biggest names we already have.“.
The tournament will feature 16 players, 8 of which are invited and 8 have qualified through the LBS Qualifiers last month. Scheduled for June 22, 23 and 24, the championship will have a total prize pool of Rs 60,000 and the tournament champion winner is already guaranteed a place in the next edition of LBS.
Arthur Silva, head of Betway in Brazil, confirmed the importance of the betting company sponsoring new projects: “We are very pleased and proud to have taken another step forward in promoting the Brazilian pool table. This is a scenario that is strongly evolving and after the success of some of the tournaments that have already received our brand support, such as the Pool World Cup, LBS is another step for Betway to forge even more connections and support Brazilian Sinuquinha.”
Hosted by the Produtora clan in a face-to-face format, the tournament will feature daily broadcasts of three days of competition on Mundo da Sinuca, the leading YouTube channel with over 1.3 million subscribers, as well as a presentation of Digo. Soares and comments by PH, MC Chell and Comarox. In addition to all this, to make the finale even more intense, the last day will feature a country show by Theo and Luan duo.
