The new Sword and Shield – Lost Origin add-on brings back the mechanics of lost zones.

Today, The Pokémon Company International announced the newest addition to the top-selling Pokémon TCG, Sword and Shield – Lost Originsavailable from September 9, 2022 at participating retailers worldwide.

AT Sword and Shield – Lost OriginsLost Zone game mechanic debuts in the series Sword and shield and promises to shake up the Pokémon TCG metagame. The Lost Zone is similar to the discard pile, but players cannot remove cards from it during play. Cards using the Lost Zone, such as Giratina V-ASTRO, will have a dark aura coming from the artwork.

In addition, the extension Sword and Shield – Lost Origins will be based on the popular video game Pokémon Legends: Arceumore of Hisui’s Pokémon will stand out, including Hisui’s Zoroark V-ASTRO and Hisui’s Goodra V-ASTRO, as well as radiant Pokémon like Radiant Gardevoir. Radiant Pokémon cards feature Bright Pokémon in specially textured artwork and often have a powerful attack or ability.

Here are some notable cards from this expansion:

  • 3 new shiny Pokémon
  • 6 Pokémon V-ASTRO
  • 14 Pokémon V and 1 Pokémon VMAX
  • 30 cards featuring trainers and fan-favorite Pokémon from the Trainer Gallery.
