Riot Games has big plans for its summer comeback, though it might not be as spectacular as a new game coming out or a new season of Arcane. Next September will be released “Ruination”, a novel that tells the story of Camavor and the Uncertain Islands falling into Viego’s possession, but in a very interesting way.
Callista will star in a novel written by League of Legends narrative animator Anthony Reynolds, which will explore the stories of betrayal behind the appearance of a devastated king. Indeed, the book is now available in hardback and physical for 20.67 €, on paper for .8 18.87 and on Kindle for 99 10.99.

Although this seems to be the only information before the release of the novel, Riot Games surprised everyone by releasing a new trailer for the novel a few hours ago. It turns out that Camavor is a warrior and an absolutist kingdom, and Callista is known as the harbinger of the Silver Throne. Therefore, he was tasked with finding a cure for the queen who was poisoned as a result of her actions against the monarchy.
However, according to the narrator, who speaks as Thrace appears in human form, what he discovers will be sudden darkness. We must not forget that it was Treshe who betrayed the Happy Isles so that Viego would commit evils that would lead to the birth of the Dark Isles. This knowledge, of course, was already present in the teaching of the characters, but in a very concise way. The novel touches on darker details and sheds new light on the history of certain champions as well as the world of Runeterra.
But the most interesting part of the whole video is the photo used for the cover. We say this because it could be the skin of a new calista, something like a calista camo. A human, warrior form can be loud for Viego’s nephew, and that’s something Riot Games is trying to let us down in this trailer. We also noticed that the armor Kalista wears looks like a “clean” version of her base skin.
Too much rubble to kill the rubble?
We realized that Riot Games really liked this part of their tutorial. With the release of Ruined King last year, the League of Legends and Legends of Runeterra events tied to that release, and the dedicated TFT kit, it’s started to do a lot. It’s not that we don’t like this part of the game, but other aspects of the game’s story are probably worth watching.
The novel about the war between Knox and Ionia would be very interesting, especially since this war is mentioned in the history of many champions (Yasuo, Riven, Sweeney, Irelia and others). The battle over the runes of the world would also be very interesting, especially since it took place centuries before the era of the League of Legends world. Luckily, Arcane breaks new ground a bit when it comes to counting other events, but many elements of the Runeterra universe are still very mysterious.
