Among the plethora of Elden Ring bosses found in FromSoftware’s sprawling open world, there are some solid pairings, and now the RPG duo have taken it upon themselves to bring these teams into RPG PvP skirmishes. The pair have already adopted battle-based builds from the Godskin duo and the Crucible Knight duo, going as far as limiting themselves to moves used by the enemies themselves.
User Mini_B3ast first posted a battle cosplay and performance as the Godskin duo on the Elden Ring subreddit on June 18, and after the positive response to the first, they remain Crucible Knights Ordovis and Siluria. However, it’s important to note that it’s not just about putting on the armor and be done with it: both players go to great lengths to ensure a fun and fair fight for their superior opponent.
Instead of diving at the same time, the pair attack in rhythmic waves, leaving several minutes of inactivity between attacks. They also stick to the movements of the original enemies (or their closest equivalents) and do not dash or dodge. In fact, they can’t: Mini_B3ast notes that they and their partner equip some heavy weapons in their save slots to avoid overloading each other in an effort to better replicate real boss fights.
Similarly, Mini_B3ast also takes into account the increased damage dealt by players compared to AI opponents. “We decided to change all of our talismans and medicines to increase defense, not damage,” explains the cosplayer. “Defense would allow the fight to last longer without going completely off balance, and less damage would make it fairer for the opponent. The fights lasted a good two minutes and usually the enemy came out victorious, as we expected.”
Indeed, a noble pursuit and true devotion to the art of acting. It also works: while his battle as the Godskin duo ends with the duo’s victory, his time as Knights of the Crucible is defeated by a beautiful shield that stops his opponent. A good skill, and certainly needed for one of the most popular strategies against true Knights of the Crucible.

One commenter asks about healing, something that is often discouraged or avoided in staged duels, but is an essential part of real boss fights. “We definitely allow healing,” Mini_B3ast replies, “it’s hard for the enemy to know that everything is in order. If the enemy isn’t healing, we try to use some of our weaker attacks to make sure they don’t take a single hit.”
The pair’s commitment is certainly admirable, and the subreddit community seems to agree: many users either admire their approach or share stories of their adventures as enemy NPCs or early bosses like Godric’s Soldier. The antics of this particular duo remind us that playing online games can be more than pure and deliberate competition. As Mini_B3ast puts it, “The goal isn’t necessarily to win, but to have fun and accurate RP for everyone involved!”
