An MMO game set in the lands of Conan the Barbarian has just had a major leak as a major new Conan Exiles update has been fully revealed thanks to a new video. Age of Sorcery is the obvious name for Conan Exiles 3.0, which will not only add a new magic class to the survival game, but also add new monetization options, including a battle pass.
Conan Exiles version 1.0 was released in 2018 and version 2.0 was released in 2020, and it looks like the fantasy game’s 3.0 update will be released in Q3 2022. As noted by MassivelyOP, the leaked developer video fully reveals the Funcom’s plans for the massive new Conan. Exiles: Age of Sorcery. an expansion that, as the name suggests, would add magic classes to the game, albeit with a “more physical basis” than other fantasy games, to make it more in keeping with creator Robert E. Howard’s world.
In Conan Exiles, magic will be divided into rituals and spells. Spells are a bit more traditional, but rituals are more craft-focused and involve creating various altars and stones to sacrifice unsuspecting limbs to gain minions, mounts, and even fast travel points.

Several perks and attributes have been changed, along with a new “corruption” feature that can affect your character’s attributes and even their appearance depending on how deep they’ve delved into sorcery. Also, the build mode is being overhauled to be more user-friendly.
There will also be new monetization options in the form of a battle pass and an in-game store that includes new magical-themed build options. Funcom says the game will also include “new armor, weapons, and mounts built around a magical theme.” To complete the Battle Pass, you will need to complete a series of challenges to unlock tiers, or you can simply purchase them.
We have no idea when the video will be officially released, but it looks like Conan Exiles: Age of Sorcery is coming in Q3 2022.
