The “Crazy Cat Person” mod for Skyrim just got a 2.0 revision

There are many fantastic mods for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, but in our unbiased opinion, the best Skyrim mod lets the Dragonborn have a cute kitty. No, not Khajiit. Now the mod that turns the RPG into a wacky cat-man simulator has been redesigned to be “easier, more intuitive, and more addictive.” And add cat dream.

The popular A Cat’s Life mod for Skyrim was released in 2020 for the express purpose of adding a cat to a fantasy game. With this mod, you will be able to feed, pet, and adopt cats from the street, or head to one of the two new cat shops in Whiterun and Riften to buy them directly along with various cat supplies. There’s even a new achievement called “Crazy Cat Man.”

A Cat’s Life 2.0 is out now, which modder Darkfox127 describes as “a completely redesigned version of the mod, built almost from the ground up to be easier, more intuitive, and more addictive.” The redesign adds more sparkle, more options, and if you’re the evil thief type, a cat dream if you want to live out your cat theft fantasies. However, if he does, there will be a bounty on his head, and it will be well deserved.

You can see it in action below or download it yourself from Nexus Mods.

Unfortunately, this hotfix will not work with standard Skyrim and is probably not compatible with the older version of the mod. This is the price to pay for having a cat.

If cats aren’t your thing, how about Skyrim’s giant rat companion mod? Or, if you prefer to play Skyrim as a cat rather than owning one, follow this link.
