Ark management commands and cheats are the secret to making the world of Ark a less scary place. With all those dinosaurs running amok, Velociraptors might interrupt your tree-cutting quest too often. If so, you may need to set up your game by entering some codes on the game console.

They are not strictly cheaters, but Ark Administration Commands changing the game to give you access to things you normally don’t have. How do I enter admin commands in Ark: Survival Evolved?

To use the Ark administration command, you must first open the console. This can be done by pressing the TAB key. If that doesn’t work, you should quickly make changes to the game’s .ini file. Go to:

Steam\SteamApps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Config\DefaultInput.ini

Open DefaultInput.ini with Word Pad or similar. Scroll down the document to find the line “+ConsoleKeys=Tab”. There will be a semicolon (;) before the line. Delete this, save the .ini file and the console should now work in-game.

Many commands will require the “Enable Cheats” command to be used first, along with the “Enable Player Cheats” command. Be sure to use them before trying other commands.
