A video was recently shared via Reddit. change not declared inserted inside Hand Ring. A boss’s video has been altered and fans are wondering if this is a lore choice. Since the rest of the video and news contain pre-advertising somethingGo beyond the image at your own risk only.
As you can see in the video shared on Reddit below, the change is Morgott, in the capital Lyndell. The difference is with the weapon: in the original version available up to patch 1.02, the stick lost its outer part due to the flame effect. However, this effect was later removed.
Before commenting on the possible significance of this change, it is best to note a few elements. First of all, the video states that the change occurred in patch 1.04, but the person who shared the video himself points out that this is a mistake; everything was in patch 1.03. It’s also important not to think that the change in ambient light is patch related: Elden Ring has only one day and night cycle, and the two recordings were made at different times. The only difference is the lack of flame.
Then why was this added? change? We don’t have an official statement, but players have made some assumptions. This may be a matter of lore, as the presence of a flame in Morgott’s weapon is symbolically so important. The Flame is forbidden by the Golden Order as it can burn the Mother Tree. Morgott is part of the Aurei, the true ruler of Lyndell: the presence or absence of flame is of paramount importance to her lore.
What do you think about this topic? We also remind you that the 1.05 patch is here, here is the news.
