There has been speculation as to whether Ark II will be on Xbox Game Pass. During the 2022 Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase, Microsoft announced that Ark II would launch on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass within one day.
Alongside Ark II, Xbox announced several games coming next year, which will release on Day 1 of Game Pass, including Overwatch 2 and As Dusk Falls. The sequel to the hit game Ark: Survival Evolved, Ark II will be a multiplayer survival game with an all-new story and cross-platform modification. Ark II will be released in 2023 and will be available as soon as Game Pass is released.

When a new Xbox game is announced, there is often uncertainty about its immediate release on Game Pass. Ark II will join hundreds of games already available on Game Pass. However, it is currently unknown if the game will be available immediately on the Xbox Cloud Gaming service, which will allow players to run certain games on devices such as their phones and tablets.
These new Game Pass titles come after Sony announced the PlayStation Plus update, which now acts more like a direct competitor to Xbox Game Pass. Microsoft may get a small edge after adding Ark II to the Game Pass library when the game releases in 2023.
