On June 9, in the middle of Day of the Devs 2022, we got to see him in action. The Roots of Pachais a prehistoric themed farm simulator made by Soda Den. The game will come in full version 2022 on PC, Switch, PlayStation and Xbox. You can also now play the demo on Steam.
Roots of Pacha asks us to cultivate our ancient tribe. Initially, we will have to explore the new lands where our people have settled. As we get used to it, we will be able to discover new plants and resources. Going forward, we will need to start farming, domesticate animals, and create new tools to simplify our jobs. We will also be able to use our animals as mounts to explore game environments faster. With wild boars, ostriches, llamas, goats and more, the variety looks phenomenal.
By creating new tools we will be able to simplify everyday tasks. For example, we see that it is possible to create a vehicle that irrigates the fields in a semi-automatic way using a series of channels we create around the cultivated fields. This saves you having to water every single square and saves time and energy. It will also be possible to cook for our tribe using resources obtained through exploration or farming.

Roots of Pacha will also take us to the caves to learn more about this world and why we are here. But there will also be more relaxing side activities, such as a musical mini-game. There will be an opportunity to build relationships with other members of the tribe, as well as find your lifelong partner.
Many other games were also showcased during tonight’s conference, such as the colorful Naiad, particularly Escape Academy and the intriguing Animal Well.
