The makers of Until Dawn are back with another horror game, but before you can enjoy the thrill of the chase, you first need to make sure your gaming PC meets the system requirements for The Quarry. You have a good chance of running Frightfest if your computer can play any series from The Dark Pictures Anthology, but the recommended specs are only for modern systems made within the last two years.
It’s still unclear what resolution or frame rate Supermassive Games is targeting. System Requirements Career, but reaching the minimum is relatively easy. As with other games in the developer’s catalog, you’ll be able to start with a ten-year-old gaming processor, a six-year-old graphics card, the standard 8GB of RAM, and 50GB of free space. You don’t even need the speed of the best gaming SSD, though that doesn’t hurt if you want faster load times.
To meet the recommended system requirements, The Quarry requires not only processors released in 2020, but also top-tier chips. It lists Intel Core i9 10900K and AMD Ryzen 7 3800 XT setting the bar high for those who haven’t upgraded in a while. The recommended GPU requirements aren’t that extreme considering they’re aimed at an entry level and the new Nvidia RTX 4000 graphics cards are just around the corner, but some may find these specs a bit harsh.
