Wondering how to ride animals in Fortnite? Although the battle royale game has changed a lot since its inception, these creatures survived when the island was turned upside down. There have been some minor changes to the behavior of animals in Fortnite for the new season, particularly with regards to wolves and boars.
Five are currently known fortnite animals who have been seen wandering around the Fortnite map, many of whom are in mountainous areas or near rivers. While frogs, crows, and chickens are the same harmless and lovable beasts from previous seasons, Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 gives you the opportunity to ride tamed wolves and boars for the first time.
We recommend that you reassign the commands so that you can load and unmount them. You can find these hotkeys in the options menu in the driving control settings. While you can heal pets by giving them discarded food or using Chug Splash, you can’t regenerate stamina, so make sure you don’t get caught if your pet is too tired.
How to ride wolves in Fortnite
Here’s how to ride wolves in Fortnite:
- Kill any animal and collect its meat.
- Find a wolf or raptor and hold down the aim button while the meat is equipped. Fire to throw meat.
- Wait for the animal to slowly approach the meat, then run towards it and hold the interact button to tame it.
The wolf will now briefly become your riding assistant and can run fast. However, it is a bit more fragile than the boar and unfortunately the wolf cannot be petted.
How to ride boars in Fortnite
Here’s how to ride boars in Fortnite:
- Go anywhere you can pick fruit or vegetables. You can also loot fruit crates from any retail store.
- Find the boar and throw fruits or vegetables by aiming and pressing the fire button.
- Wait for the boar to start approaching the fruit or vegetables.
- Run to the boar and click on the track to mount it.
Now you can ride the boar for a short time. Although the Boar can take a fair amount of damage, it is not the faster of the two mounts.
