Final Fantasy 16 Release Window Announced, Here’s the New Trailer

Final Fantasy 16’s release date has been moved up to summer 2023, according to the latest PlayStation live stream. We’ve also seen an exciting new trailer for the RPG, and it’s clear that developer Square Enix is ​​going thick about duels between the famous summoned monsters of the series.

The trailer, which you can watch below, shows off some of Final Fantasy’s toughest pocket monsters, this time called “Akons,” facing off against each other in cutscenes and new gameplay. In the latter, they have health bars and the camera angle changes between side view and dramatic third-person view. At times it feels like a cross between a fighting game and a hack-n-slash RPG, but with huge, dramatic monsters. So far, Ramu, Ifrit, Phoenix, Shiva, Garuda, Odin, and Titan have been confirmed.
