Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: EA), the world leader in interactive entertainment, today announced that Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) Year 2 Championship at the PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina, July 7-10. For the first time, the ALGS Championship will have an in-person audience to follow the leading global esports series.
The ALGS Championship comes at a time when Apex Legends continues to gain momentum and attract more fans than ever before. Earlier this month, the ALGS Division 2 qualifiers in Stockholm, Sweden broke viewership records considering all previous events in EA Esports history.

The ALGS Division 2 Playoff Final, which took place on May 1, averaged over 539,000 viewers per minute (AMA) across all parties and official ALGS broadcast channels. The Apex Legends brand has also hit milestones recently, including the highly anticipated release of Apex Legends Mobile and the release of Season 13 of Salvation on consoles and PC.

PNC Arena will host 40 of the best Apex Legends teams from around the world. Representing five regions, they will compete for their share of the $2 million prize pool and the coveted title of ALGS Champion. For the first time, the ALGS community will be able to come together to cheer on their favorite teams live at the PNC Arena in Raleigh, NC. The 65,000 square meters will accommodate thousands of fans from all over the world for the biggest ALGS competition to date.
