Destiny 2 Schedules, Changes, and Weekly Reset Times

A new weekly Destiny 2 reset awaits. As the first live service game, Bungie encourages players to return to Destiny 2 each week. They typically feature content updates for the space game’s various planets, raids, and dungeons, along with minor bug fixes and tweaks to address unresolved player issues. The reset often includes new seasonal quest content or updates to existing in-game activities for players who own seasonal content. And with constant weekly updates to Nightfall, the Crucible playlist, campaign missions, in-game activities, and rewards, there’s so much more to keep track of than ever before.

Destiny 2 Weekly Reset takes place every Tuesday at 10:00am PT / 1:00pm EST / 6:00pm PT / 7:00pm CEST. There are often server downtimes during the reset, so keep this in mind if you are unable to connect to the game at this particular time. Once the reset starts, you’ll have a full week to review all the changes before Bungie releases another set of changes on the same day and time next week.

Here, we give Destiny 2 players a quick overview of all the weekly reset changes so you know which shiny new activities to prioritize when hunting for loot.

Destiny 2 Weekly Reset Schedule

Destiny 2 weekly reset times are 10:00am PDT / 1:00pm EST / 6:00pm PST / 7:00pm CEST every Tuesday. There’s also a daily reset that happens at the same time and changes things like Destiny 2’s daily Legendary Lost Sector, bounties, and items you find at certain vendors.

Destiny 2 Weekly Reset Changes

Here are the main changes coming with Destiny 2’s weekly reset for the week of May 31, 2022:

iron banner

Bungie has updated Iron Banner through June 7. Players can duke it out on the Iron Banner Rift or on the new Disjunction map. Unlike previous iterations, Iron Banner no longer takes into account your power level. You can unlock a daily challenge during the first four days of Iron Banner, and each day you complete will add 100% to your challenge multiplier for the rest of the week. Instead of Iron Banner Tokens, this event will now offer rewards similar to what you receive in Shax’s Crucible. Oh, and don’t forget that using Iron Banner gear and rewards can increase your reputation multiplier by up to 200%.

Seasonal Weekly Quest: North

This week’s quest will take you to the Underbelly of Leviathan, where you will learn the truth about Calus’ plans.

Weekly Challenge: The Reaper’s Cup – Defeat the nightmare boss in the north and collect his chests.

Dusk: understanding terminal

Located on Nessus, Insight Terminus culminates in a battle against the psionic tech expert Vex Kargan. At the end, you can receive a powerful reward (level 1) and if you reach 100,000 points or more, you will receive a reward from Pinnacle.

This week’s Destiny 2 Nightfall weapon is a DFA weapon that will likely drop on Master difficulty.

Here are this week’s Nightfall mods:

The Crucible is also offering a rank bonus this week.

Vanguard Burn: Solar Opal

Players and enemies deal more damage with solar weapons and abilities.

Throne World: The Weekly Scholarship Quest

Travel to Europe and enter the pyramid to battle a high-ranking cabal colossus exiled from the empire.

Throne World: Source

The source alternates Attack and Defense modes daily, starting with Attack on May 31. Rewards rotate daily and include the Tarnation, Fel Taradiddle, Father’s Sin, and Come to Pass weapons, as well as the legendary Veritas armor. Completing three Wellspring races in a week will earn you powerful gear.

And that’s all the course changes for this Destiny 2 weekly reset. Since we’ve just kicked off the Season of Ghosts, check out our guides to getting all the new Exotics in Destiny 2 Season 17, completing the new Nightmare Containment event, and the Las best Destiny 2 solar builds from revamp 3.0.
